  • The TomTom RDS-TMC Traffic Receiver gets traffic information on the go, to your TomTom. For the one-off cost of the receiver you can get traffic updates and let your TomTom reroute you around congestion.

    By simply connecting the TomTom device to the RDS-TMC Traffic Receiver, you will automatically receive traffic information via the TMC connection. Once a journey is planned, traffic alerts which relate to the route are clearly displayed in the traffic bar on the right hand side of the screen. When you tap the icon shown in the traffic bar, you will receive further information, such as the cause or kind of delay to traffic, such as an accident or traffic jam.

    RDS-TMC is available in: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom.

    This accessory requires at least version 6.525 of the TomTom application. Connect your TomTom device to your computer and use TomTom HOME to update your application automatically and for free.

How To Use

Note: Reliable TMC Traffic reception is strongly dependent on: optimal antenna placement, vehicle features (e.g. coated windscreen), surrounding environment (e.g. mountains, high buildings), RDS-TMC Radio station transmission signal. Before connecting the RDS-TMC Traffic Receiver for the first time, make sure your TomTom device is switched off.

1. Attach the TomTom device to the Windscreen Holder.

2. Plug the TMC receiver into the bottom of the ONE XL or your GO windscreen dock.

2. Plug the TMC receiver into the bottom of the ONE XL or your GO windscreen dock.

3. Position the TomTom device at the bottom left corner of the car windscreen and press the suction cup firmly against the windscreen.

4. Press the suction cup located at the top end of the antenna cable (this is not the suction cup found on egg shaped receiver) firmly against the upper left corner of the car windscreen.

5. Press the suction cup located at the bottom of the antenna cable (this is not the suction cup found on the windscreen dock) firmly against the lower left corner of the car windscreen.

6. Press the suction cup located on the egg shaped receiver on the windscreen at any place convenient. Avoid putting too much tension on the cables.

7. Switch on your TomTom and open the Driving View.
